UPDATE: Traffic Moving Freely on Highway 1 After Caltrans Road Work this Afternoon
Traffic is moving slowly as Caltrans does roadside work.
Update 2:46pm: Caltrans has finished its work and traffic is moving freely in both directions.
Drivers should prepare to wait on Highway 1 just south of Linda Mar Boulevard this afternoon as Caltrans cleans up a hill slide.
The state transportation agency is cleaning up part of a hill just south of the highway after it fell following last week's rain. Traffic is moving one direction at a time.

Caltrans' spokesman has not yet responded to phone calls asking when the work will be done and when traffic will move smoothly again.
