Things to Do in Pacifica This Week

The 7 p.m. meeting will be in the City Hall Council Chambers, 2212 Beach Blvd. Among public hearing items on the agenda are a proposal to adopt authorizing the vacation of a portion of Pompeiian Way right-of-way; a move to accept the report of sewer changes for fiscal year 2013-2014 and directing the filing of charges for collection by the County Controller.

We Play We Learn preschool is hosting free playgroups from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays during July at Linda Mar School, 830 Rosita Ave. Activities include free play, art, music, and story time. (650) 777-9182.

Devil’s Slide Trail Meeting

San Mateo County Parks Department is holding a public meeting to present conceptual plans for the Devil’s Slide Trail and to receive public comments. The meeting is set for 7 to 9 p.m. at Cypress Meadows Conference Center, 343 Cypress Avenue, Moss Beach.

 

Friday

DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint

The Pacifica Police Department plans a Driving Under the Influence/Drivers License Checkpoint starting at 7 p.m. at an undisclosed location inside the city limits. Motorists passing through the checkpoint should expect short delays while officers speak with drivers and look for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment. They also will verify that motorists have a valid driver’s license.
