Pet of the Week: Thumbelina

Check out one of the pets available for adoption from the Peninsula Humane Society.

Thumbelina, Thumbelina, tiny little thing...

That wonderful song was not written about this robust 11-year-old spayed female named Thumbelina. She is a big boned lady, and she just loves her treats. Thumbelina was surrendered to the Peninsula Humane Society because someone in her previous family developed allergies. Thumbelina needs time to adjust, but once she gets to know you, she is very sweet and will seek affection.

To visit Thumbelinago to the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. The shelter is open for adoptions Monday through Friday, 11 am to 7 pm; and weekends from 11 am to 6 pm and is located at 12 Airport Blvd., San Mateo next to Coyote Point Park. For directions and information, call 650-340-7022 or visit www.PHS-SPCA.org
