What Are Pacifica Students Up to Lately? [PHOTOS]

Some pretty cool things, that's what. Here's a snapshot of what students at local schools are doing inside and outside the classroom.

Future engineers at Sunset Ridge Elementary took on the challenge of constructing devices last week to cushion an egg dropped from the school's roof as part of the annual Family Day Egg Drop.

Eighth graders at Cabrillo School travelled to Long Beach Monday, ready to board the American Pride ship for the trip to Catalina Island.

Several Terra Nova juniors and seniors were Stanford students for a day in April, participating in Stanford's School of Medicine's "Med School 101," where students chose three classes to attend. Classes ranged from "Alternative Medicine" and "Cancer" to "Virtual Medicine" and "Bone Marrow Transplantation."

And at Alma Heights Christian High School, high school students, who each chose a thesis topic in an area of interest and were mentored in a research process and paper, participated in an oral defense before a panel.

This is just a sampling of the many amazing enrichment activities Pacifica's youth are participating in at local schools.
