Pacifica Falls to Huntington, WV in Dog Park Competition

Huntington grabs 87,000 votes to win the competition.

Despite heroic efforts from the Pacifica Organization of Canine Helpers (POOCH) and community leaders, Pacifica has lost the Bark for Your Park contest. 

The contest, sponsored by PetSafe, pitted cities across America against one another to see which community could gather the highest vote total. The leader wins $100,000 to build a new dog park. 

Huntington, WV, a town of 49,000, and home of Marshall University, garnered 87,000 votes to clinch the top spot.

Despite failing to secure a victory, Pacifica voters did put their seaside town in the  out of hundreds of entrants.
