Pacifica has officially been "Most Beautiful" in the national Rand McNally/USA Today's Best of the Road contest.
Businesses and places in Pacifica also made a good showing in the contest which ended May 30. The has been voted the "Best Fishing Spot", (Linda Mar) tied for 1st in the "Best Beach" category, took 2nd in the "Best Hamburger" category and won a landslide victory in the "Best BBQ" category.
After being entered in the contest earlier this month by Mayor Mary Ann Nihart, Pacifica, its businesses and places made a to clinch these categories.
Now that votes from consumers are in, experts from Rand McNally/USA Today will select the official stops on the road trip competition that accompanies the contest, and road trip teams will earn points for visiting the locations chosen. The road trip competition starts on June 21.
