A small earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.4 was recorded off the coast of San Francisco this morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake struck just after 7 a.m. and had an estimated depth of 2.3 miles, according to the USGS.
The epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean approximately 6 miles west of the San Francisco Zoo and 8 miles southwest of the center of the Golden Gate Bridge, according to the USGS.
