High Surf Advisory for Tonight, Sunday

Waves could reach 17 feet.

A high surf advisory is set to go into effect tonight through Sunday afternoon along the Bay Area coast, according to the National Weather Service.

The high surf warning will be in effect from 9 p.m. tonight through 3 p.m. Sunday along the San Francisco-Peninsula Coast and Monterey Bay area coastline, according to weather officials.

Swells are expected to increase this afternoon before subsiding Sunday afternoon. Breakers could reach up to 17 feet, officials said.
