Illegal Dump Sites in Pacifica?

Share those sites with us and other readers.

Pacifica Patch has received reports of illegal dump sites around town, where people leave couches, old furniture, tires, or even abandon trailers and other junk they don't want anymore.

Have you seen one of these places around town? Let us know so we can take a photo, or better yet, upload a photo of your own above. We'll be following up with the city code enforcer about what's being done to ensure these messes get cleaned up.

Make sure to leave a comment with the exact location of the illegal dump site so we can follow up.

The alley from Bill Drake way to Mannor, behind the strip mall. Never see them dump but it just shows up. Gave up on the city doing anything. There is an easment on both sides of the alley. If left there it is the Land Lords problem, and they could care less as well. And round it goes!

I would encourage you not to buy the bait ... human nature being what it is, this thread could end up being a map of where you can dump illegally without being caught. I agree there is a problem with illegal dumping, I don't think it's a good idea to point out publicly where the problem spots are.

These people should be severely fined or jailed. I take waste to the Recology Dump in South San Francisco all the time, yesterday in fact. It is cheap and easy. There is no excuse for this. Todd

I just posted a photo. All the police would have to do is set up a spy cam pointed in two specific directions and they'd get footage of those who are doing the dumping and their license plate numbers. If you are driving through and pass too slowly or show too much curiosity, the offenders will threaten and yell at you. Most people who pass through drive slowly because of a school that is nearby and drivers are mindful of kids possibly crossing the street. I've almost had my car hit (as I'm driving on the on-ramp) by these guys because they want to dump and run.

There should be a camera on every street to stop this and crime! It's people like this that ruin our beautiful City! So sad!

Recology is not in SSF.

OK Larry: The Recology dump technically is still in San Francisco, but it is very close to the border just across 101 from Candlestick Park.

Todd, I believe you are talking about the Recology transfer site on Tunnel road In S.F. Blue Line transfer site is in S.S.F.

Pacifica is a DUMP (IMO) just drive around Linda Mar and you will see: Homes not taken care of with weeds growing in some cases waist high, garbage cans out front. Cars and boats in their front yard, debris in there front yard. RV's parked everywhere and the streets we drive on are crap. I could go on but you get the picture.
