Expect Traffic Delays During Caltrans Highway 1 Project

Caltrans will implement a one-way traffic control on Highway 1 south of Linda Mar Boulevard.

Update 7/29: Caltrans announced today that the Highway 1 repair project one mile south of Linda Mar Boulevard has been delayed until August 8. For the full schedule of when to expect traffic delays, read the story .

Traffic will be moving one direction at a time on Highway 1 from Monday, August 1, to Friday, August 12, the weekend excluded, as Caltrans repairs a section of the roadway susceptable to landslides. 

The choke point will be about one mile south of Linda Mar Boulevard where crews will be building a new concrete wall above the southbound lane, Caltrans spokesman Bob Haus said.

Crews wil be working, and the roadway will be reduced to one lane, from 7a.m. until 3p.m. August 1 through 4 and August 8 through 11 and 6a.m. until 2p.m. August 5 and 12. 

Drivers are being advised to expect travel delays, Haus said.
