Update: Cabrillo Hwy at Devil's Slide Reopens

Roadway was closed for more than two hours.

Updated: Highway 1 has reopened, Sheriff's deputies said.

State Highway 1, Cabrillo Highway, is closed at Devil's Slide between Montara and Pacifica, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

At 6:50 p.m., Det. S. Azar estimated that it would be at least two hours before the highway reopens.
