There are many opportunities for you to volunteer in the Pacifica schools. It only takes an hour or two a week to make a difference!
There are many open opportunities for volunteering in Pacifica classrooms.
Weekly classroom volunteer: Volunteers are needed at all grade levels to work one-on-one or in small groups, assisting with reading, math and other subjects.
Reader in Residence: Elementary school libraries are looking for weekly volunteers willing to read aloud to students. Shifts are 2 hours and can be scheduled M - F. Volunteers will work with library coordinators and teachers to select books and schedule classroom visits. If you love a cozy story time this is the volunteer opportunity for you!

Senior Exhibition Mentor: students must complete a final year project which includes a written research paper and oral presentations. Volunteers are needed to work with struggling students after school to assist with successful completion of this important graduation requirement.
Bilingual Volunteer: A volunteer fluent in Cantonese is needed for a 4th grade class at Sunset Ridge Elementary.

Book Levelling Assistant: is implementing a new reading program and requires assistance with identifying the appropriate reading level of books. This project can be done during or after school hours.
