Second Annual Rockaway Beach Tree Lighting Ceremony [PHOTOS]

The holiday community event put on by the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce is becoming quite the annual tradition.

City Council elect Mike O'Neill played Santa, Seaside Singers and Cabrillo School principal Tom Stafford with his choir students sang carols, Disney characters Belle and Snow White made an appearance, and local businesses and organizations like Ressurected Boutique and the Pacifica Resource Center sponsored face painting and ornament making. Did we mention the pony rides, tree lighting, cable car rides from the Pacifica Community Center to Rockaway Beach, and antique fire engine?

There is no doubt about it. The Pacifica community came out large for the 2nd Annual Rockaway Beach Tree Lighting Ceremony this year.

The event is put on by Pacifica Chamber of Commere president Courtney Conlon and co-chair Darlene Gonzalez to celebrate Pacifica during the holiday season and support local business.

"That was a very cute and fun event!" said Pacifica resident Nancy Bagdon, whose children had a lot of fun with the fire truck.

Lyn Geary's two kids, William and Mia, really enjoyed the pony rides, she said.
