Yummy Photos: Pacificakes Welcomes Fall With Sweet Seasonal Treats

Take a look at some of the fall-inspired baked goods at Pacificakes in Pacifica.

Glimpses of summer are still present, and jack-o'-lanterns have yet to take residence on our stoops, but for those who have started to crave all things fall, here is a sneak peak at what Pacificakes is baking up for the season.

Fall inspired baked goods made of seasonal ingredients such as pumpkin, apple, cranberry, sweet potato, gingerbread and bacon — yes bacon — are what’s in store right now at Pacificakes, which celebrated their two-year anniversary this August.

You know summer is over when Pacificakes introduces their Cinnamon Toast-Bacon Cupcake with real bacon. And for Halloween right now, it’s decorated skeleton and Day of the Dead shortbread cookies and black and orange frosted cake pops and cupcakes. Holiday pies include apple-cranberry with crumble topping and sweet potato, which need to be preordered. Cupcakes include pumpkin with rum buttercream frosting and gingerbread with cream cheese frosting, plus all the usual flavors that are on Pacificake's website.

With Fog Fest next weekend, Sept. 28-29, Pacificake owner Mariel Berry is looking forward to “meeting new customers and seeing our regulars,” she said. “We'll be selling our yummy treats at the shop as well as at a table outside. Coffee and tea will be warm, ready to go in case it is foggy. Well, it is always sunny during Fog Fest, but we can never predict the weather right?”

Soon Pacificakes will have a deal on Groupon for decorating classes at the shop. Visit their website and Facebook page for updates.
