Business name: Prints Old & Rare

What is your business known for? We sell items items related to the local history of people all over the world. We also sell to historical societies, libraries, archives, government bodies as well as to ordinary collectors.

Why did you choose Pacifica to open your business?  We were in San Francisco for many years and then fell in love with beautiful Pacifica. Being primarily a mail order business, we did not need to rely on foot traffic.

When and how did your business get started? In 1974 I decided to get out of the teaching world and enter the world of antiquarian books, maps and prints.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know? We sell items to many writers and celebrities who collect or do research. We have supplied illustrations for hundreds of books, TV shows, movies, magazine articles. We work with major institutions helping to fill in their archives.
