Update: Crews Extinguish Two-Alarm Grass Fire in Pacifica

No structures have been damaged.

A two alarm grass fire has been extinguished in Pacifica at 2:50 p.m. after three different fire companies battled the blaze, according to  safety inspector Klaus Zalinskis. 

Cal Fire, The state’s fire department, also responded to the scene as the fire escalated to a two-alarm fire in the residential area of Shelter Cove.

The grass fire burned about an acre of land close to homes, but no buildings suffered any damage and there were no injuries reported.

Firefighters are responding to a grass fire in Pacifica this afternoon, a dispatcher said.

The two-alarm fire was reported at about 2:50 p.m. near Shelter Cove Road and Danmann Avenue, the dispatcher said.

No structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported, he said.
