I've been writing since early childhood, 12 or 13 years old, with pencil and paper. Now it's on an iMac. [I started writing] to let the characters that live in my head have a voice.

How do you describe yourself as a writer – a poet, a short-story-writer, etc?

All of the above.

Which writers or artists inspire you most?

Gabriel Garcia Marquez, James Michener, Robert Frost, Victor Hugo, Mario Vargas Llosa, Ernest Hemingway, Cesar Vallejo, Marcel Proust, Robert Louis Stevenson, and many others.

Does Pacifica show up in your work explicitly or implicitly in any way?

Pacifica is in my work in every way possible.

Are there any particular places in Pacifica that you enjoy writing from?

Cafés. Especially if they are full of people, they energize me. Also from my home with the view of my back yard.

What did you present at the County Fair?

My love poems, 2 Pacifica, 2 my boyfriend, 2 friends, 2 cities.

If there’s one piece of your work you would like to share with Patch readers, which one would you point them to?

My novel, As Time Goes By.

How can readers find your work?

It can be found at the Pacifica and San Francisco Public Libraries. Readers can email me at camincha@comcast.net.
