Visitors to Rancho Day Fiesta will learn how horses there descended from those ridden by vaqueros who settled the Peninsula in the early 1800s. The horses' bloodlines can be traced to 1519, the time of the Spanish Conquest.
Guests also can learn traditional dances, make dolls from corn husks and enjoy rancho food, among other activities popular in old Mexican California.
