Indian Summer Concert Series Day 2 Featuring: New Diplomat, Beta State, Picture Atlantic, Girl Named T, and Spanish Cannons

New Diplomat
Electronic Alternative Rock band New Diplomat manages a sound that is both fresh and familiar. Hailing from all over the world (Belgium, Italy, U.S, Argentina and Uruguay) and uniting in San Francisco, CA they crafted an EP evocative of the accessibility of The Killers with the creativity of Radiohead or Muse. 
The debut “Buy Yourself Some Freedom” has already landed them sold out shows, festival appearances such as Noise Pop 2012, SXSW 2012 and BFD 2012 as well as a single produced by Dan the Automator (Gorillaz, Kasabian), soon to be released. 
With only a year together under their belts; dawn is just breaking for this Bay Area five-piece.

Beta State
Beta State is a band that doesn’t worry about writing about their accolades...they just concentrate on creating great music. They have played at Live 105’s BFD Music Festival, they have played No So Silent Night sharing the stage with Mumford and Sons, Florence and The Machine, Bush, Young the Giant, and Green Day. This is a band destined on being heard of for a long time.

Picture Atlantic
Picture Atlantic has played Warped Tour's Ernie Ball stage. They opened for Coldplay in San Jose. "Kleos" had bloggers and reviewers drawing musical similarities to The Killers, Coldplay, The Cure, The Police, Radiohead, and Death Cab For Cutie, but yet with an original flair all their own. Towards the end of 2009, Picture Atlantic headed back to the studio to create the rich and moody EP "Dulce Et Decorum Est", which was recorded and produced by the band. This endeavor, released in early 2010, brought out a much more mature and stripped down sound for the band, and was complimented by Performer Magazine as being ".. sensational, with a captivating beauty that emanates from every note."

Girl Named T
Alternative-pop-rock 21-year-old drummer, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, producer, singer-songwriter Girl Named T, living the dream and making it work in the steepest of cities, San Francisco. Inspired by great pop records of the 1960s along with the dissonant noises of Pixies, Nirvana, and X, Girl Named T prides herself on making catchy, accessible pop music without being boring or cliché...

Her song “Raven Fly” was licensed to MTV for use on their hit series, “Awkward.” More recently, Girl Named T has performed live on ABC Television, was written up by photographer Pat Johnson in BAM Magazine, and was ranked #9 on Live 105′s “Top Ten Artists/Bands You Didn’t See on the Top 20 List of 2011″. She was also interviewed on NPR’s “All Things Considered".

Spanish Cannons
Spanish Cannons are an indie rock band with roots in the SF Bay Area music scene. Late 2011 saw the release of "The Molecules EP", which sold out in a month. Early 2012 was dedicated to playing as many shows as possible, and writing all new music for an upcoming album, titled "Get Well Soon Everybody". The band released the single "Winter Song" in February as a part of the Coffee and Cigarettes Clothing Co. In June, they released another single, "Get Out, Ghosts!", which received critical acclaim as well as radio play on Live105 and 89.3 KOHL.
