Indian Summer Concert Series Day 1 Featuring: CarterRollins, Dangermaker, Hello Monster, The Thirstbusters

CARTERROLLINS
The Surf Spot is proud to announce that the Australian duo CarterRollins has selected our music venue to be part of their 2012 North American Tour and will be the headliner for our Day 1 of our Indian Summer Music Concert Series!

Rock duo, Justin Carter and Johnny Rollins, use the power of vocal harmonies to deliver a full-band sound. Complimenting their harmonies is a simple recipe: Johnny smashing the drums to pieces as Justin plays his raw guitar licks. It’s this formula that makes it easy to see why the boys’ sound is turning so many heads.

DANGERMAKER
Dangermaker’s anticipated 2012 debut LP “Black Dream” is a bit dark and mysterious at times, yet also pervasively upbeat, catchy and fun, filled with “lots of energy, cool, dark, angular melodies” (David Bash of IPO). The album represents a true progression for the band musically, the new songs straddle Indie Dance Rock & Classic Alternative, somewhere between 70′s Bowie, The Clash & The Stooges, and The Black Keys, Spoon & Interpol. Inspired by this wide pool of influence, their recent personal struggle, and the desire to create a blend of musical styles that resonates with audiences, this core of passionate musicians has crafted a provocative debut album which has led to recent showcases at SXSW and CMJ, propelling the band forward into 2012.

HELLO MONSTER
Hello Monster is comprised of four like-minded San Francisco musicians who have come together to crank out melodic pop music with an indie edge. Combining their varied musical backgrounds, these four journeyman musicians have joined forces to create the band you hear today.

THIRSTBUSTERS
Mixing the sensitivity of Jazz with the catchiness of Pop/Rock, the Thirstbusters sound reflects a unique blend of musical influences. Their first music video “So There” was featured consistently on international TV including Disney. Their song "So Far" enjoyed a long run on Disney XD, and is now playing on THE DISH NETWORK! Plus their hit single "Finder's Keepers" won 1st place in a national songwriting competition for social justice! The award was presented by the Elfenworks Foundation at the CMF Red Carpet Awards Ceremony.
