It's Time to Take Your Shot at the Annual Fog Fest Photo Contest

Entries for four divisions — Color, Black & White, Special Effects, and "Surf's Up!" — are currently being accepted through Sept. 19 in Pacifica.

Here is your chance to express your photographic talents by entering the annual Fog Fest Photo Contest, coordinated by the Sanchez Art Center in cooperation with the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce and headed by contest chair, Victor Spano.

In an effort to encourage creative expression amongst the widest range of photographers, and to present the most diverse show possible, there will be no eligibility restrictions as to residency, geographic content or entrant’s age. This year there are four divisions that include: Color, Black & White, Special Effects and “Surf’s Up!” themed shots. Photos must be framed according to entry instructions.

Panelists of judges include Pacifica photographers Edwin Hacking and Alan Grinberg.

Edwin Hacking is a multi-year Fog Fest Photo Contest Award Winner and his photos have been published in the Pacifica Tribune. Alan Grinberg, also a multi-year Fog Fest Photo Contest Award Winner, was also selected to receive a juror’s award at the Sanchez Art Center’s Left Coast Annual juried competition in 2012.  Both have traveled the world in their search for the perfect shot.

Each submission (up to 2 entries per, regardless of division) must have an Entry Form accommodated by a $10 entry fee. Entry forms and guidelines can be obtained from the Chamber of Commerce, Sanchez Art Center or downloaded from the Fog Fest website at www.pacificcoastfogfest.com.
