Where Are the Cell Phone Dead Zones in Pacifica?

Click on the "add" icon on the map and tell us where in Pacifica your cell phone drops calls or just won't pick up a signal.

We all run into them.

Those small areas where you just can't get a signal for your cell phone, tablet, laptop or other electronic device.

Pacifica resident Crystal Sigler Morrill says her AT&T iPhone cuts out on Sharp Park Road right at the Skyline College sign. "It's a small dead zone but I lose connection every time," she writes on Pacifica Patch's Facebook page.

Nicole McCoig says her calls drop at Rockaway Beach. For Bridget Weiler Parr it's "back of the valley with Verizon" and for Kristina Ruiz-Coppola the dead zone is "mid-way up Fassler."

Valerie Hawkins has Sprint and loses service coming down Highway 1 into Pacifica right after the Skyline exits and driving past the bowling alley (both ways) and at random spots along 280. "I switched from Verizon to Sprint a few years back because I was working in the back of the valley and couldn't get service at all," she said.

Mick Wedley says he never gets service at his house at the back end of Linda Mar and San Bruno Mountain.

Still, regardless of what cell phone carrier everyone has, no one seems to be able to get service mid-way through Devil's Slide as Pacifica resident Mandi Stillwell reminds everyone on Pacifica Patch's Facebook page.

So what about you? On the map, show us where these "dead zones" are located in the Pacifica area and then give us more information in the comments section.

How do you deal with this problem? How should it be fixed?

We'll more stories in the coming weeks on this topic, including how many cell phone towers and antennas there are in your town as well as where they are located. You might be surprised.
