Authorities on Sunday for an elderly Pacifica woman who went missing near the Park Pacifica area last week, police said.

Pacifica Police led a massive search for 76-year-old Maria “Marlies” Jansen that went on for parts of five days. Jansen is believed to suffer from early dementia.

Prosecutors against two men who were arrested on suspicion of shooting BB guns at paragliders in Pacifica earlier this year.

Case against two men arrested by SWAT teams in January on suspicion of firing at paragliders would have tough to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, prosecutors say.

 

Wednesday, Aug. 1

A Mill Valley company that makes environmentally-friendly toys more than 50,000 "Mini Vehicle" toys from store shelves, citing a choking hazard. The hazardous toys are not known to have caused any injuries.

Rob Schneider, a 1982 Terra Nova High grad ofSaturday Night Live and Men Behaving Badly fame, will at Comedy Works South in Denver on Sept. 12, with all proceeds benefiting shooting victim Caleb Medley, a Denver Post entertainment blog reports.

 

Friday, Aug. 3

A at Pacifica Gardens on Aug. 11 will be among 2,000 in the Bay Area participating in the "Great Bee Count.” A group of San Francisco State University biologists are asking volunteers across the country to help them estimate bee populations.
