Kudos to the organizers of the Fog Fest for putting together another great event. The music choices were outstanding, the food was varied and excellent, and everybody seemed to be having a good time, particularly today (Sunday) when the weather cooperated, showing Pacifica at its sparkling best. My one concern with the event is with the management company for the vendors, Festival Productions. Last year there was a slump in the quality of the crafts vendors, with resellers of overseas junk jewelry and mass-produced merchandise making inroads. This year was ridiculous, with maybe 2 actual crafts vendors per block, and the entire show being taken over by resellers of flat-out junk. And speaking to the crafts vendors, several were so disgusted that they were saying it was their last year at the Fog Fest. Time to have a serious talking to the management company or seeking somebody else?
