A winter storm brought wet weather and even a little snow to the
Bay Area on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Portions of Mount Diablo in Contra Costa County were dusted with
snow Sunday morning, and other locations above 3,500 feet could experience
light snowfall with the passing storm, weather forecaster Diana Henderson
The rest of the Bay Area was getting some much needed
precipitation in the form of rainfall, which was expected to diminish later
As of 1 p.m. Sunday, downtown San Francisco had recorded about a
quarter of an inch of rain, Henderson said.
Heavier rain fell in the North Bay and on coastal mountains on the
Peninsula, Henderson said.
About .75 inch of rain was recorded in Bolinas, according to the
Cool and dry weather was expected to return to the Bay Area today
and Tuesday, with a chance of rain heading to the Bay Area later in the week.
