Pacifica Nonprofits Get A Little Richer Thanks to Fog Fest

Members of the 46 community groups who helped the Fog Fest Organizing Group (FFOG) produce the 2013 festival were rewarded with funds for their long weekend of hard work during the annual event back in September.

About 50 people from the community groups gathered last week to receive their distribution, along with members of the FFOG board and Marina Tolentino, branch manager at First National Bank of Northern California, one of the Fog Fest's major sponsors.

For most of the groups, that meant a check for $1,400. Grand total now paid to community groups by FFOG in the last 14 years comes to $700,000, according to Carol Camacho of the 2013 Fog Fest organizing board.
