One-Way Traffic Controls at Tom Lantos Tunnels This Week

Motorists driving Highway 1 between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay should allow for extra travel time.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will need to perform paving work along the north and south approach roads of the Highway 1-Tom Lantos Tunnels.

Tuesday to Friday – June 11th to June 14th-Lane Closures Overnight

To ensure worker and public safety, one-way traffic controls will be switching from the northbound bore to the southbound bore throughout the night for the week of June 11th at the Highway 1-Tom Lantos Tunnels.

The overnight work is scheduled for Tuesday to Thursday night, June 11th to June 13th. The work will start at 7 p.m. nightly and will be completed the following mornings at 7 a.m.

The overnight work is also scheduled for Friday night, June 14th. The work will start at 9 p.m. and will be completed the following morning at 7 a.m.

During one-way traffic controls, one lane of traffic through one of the tunnels will remain open at all times with flaggers alternating northbound and southbound traffic.

All work is weather permitting. Motorists should allow for extra travel time.
