Low-flying jets, flying in from the west with landing gears down, flew over Pacifica all morning long Monday.
Did you see them? Some were so low, that it appeared they were going to land in Westview.
According to a San Francisco Airport (SFO) spokesperson, this is actually a very rare occurance, which happens on average only once every few years. Based upon the prevailing winds, flights were all diverted, taking the opposite direction for landing in SFO.
The winds should return to a more normal pattern Tuesday.
