County Urges Residents to Get Signed Up for Healthcare Before March Deadline

"If you do not have coverage and miss the March 31 deadline you could pay a tax penalty and have to wait until January 1, 2015 to get financial assistance to enroll in a Covered CA plan," a county announcement released Thursday states.

The following is a news release from the County of San Mateo: 

The deadline for affordable health care through Covered California is March 31. Free, personal support is available to help you find and enroll in the best and most affordable plan. You may even qualify for financial assistance.

Hurry! People without health coverage need to act soon.  If you do not have coverage and miss the March 31 deadline you could pay a tax penalty and have to wait until January 1, 2015 to get financial assistance to enroll in a Covered CA plan.
