Wine, Aphrodisiacs and a View: Valentine's Day at the Moonraker

The executive chef has prepared a special four-course menu for you and that special someone.

Looking for a local spot to take your Valentine? Look no further. The newly opened in Rockaway Beach has a special menu prepared just for the romantic holiday and an unbeatable view, too.

And get this: Executive Chef Jason Yeafoli has filled the four-course tasting menu with aphrodisiacs for, uh, later that evening.

Menu highlights include baked Marin Miyagi oyster with melted leeks, breadcrumbs and truffle cream; local Dungeness crab served with blood orange, avocado, radish and crème fraiche; Foie Gras Torchon with local Sonoma foie gras, port fig jam, pink peppercorn and toast points; Maine Lobster “Thermidor” poached in butter with trumpet mushrooms, scallops, sherry lobster sauce and lobster crumbs; and Grilled Lamb Chops with fennel Yukon potato, rosemary salt and an Italian lemon olive sauce.

Then there’s dessert: Chocolate Pavé with chocolate mousse, cherry crème fraiche mousse, pistachio, graham cracker and zinfandel kirsch sauce, a Lime Bombe with fresh lime mousse, white chocolate macadamia cookie and wild honey caramel or Passion Fruit Sorbet with blood orange sections and coconut emulsion.

The Steve Nelson Jazz Ensemble will be in the corner weaving the sonic ambiance throughout the evening.
