Suspect at Large After High-Speed Chase, Gunshots in Linda Mar

The Pacifica Police are still investigating, and have asked anyone with information about the incident to call them.

Police gave chase early Friday morning to a man driving a gray Ford Mustang who, after crashing the vehicle into a parked car, fled on foot and may have fired two rounds out of a gun in a back yard before escaping.

At about 3:32a.m., a Officer was parked on the 1100 block of Linda Mar Boulevard when he spotted the Mustang traveling eastbound at an estimated 80 mph. He pursued in order to issue a traffic ticket, but the driver accelerated and turned southbound onto Alicante Drive. When the vehicle reached Capistrano Drive, it collided with a parked car.

The driver, described as being a white male in his 20s, over six feet tall, either bald or with very short blonde hair and wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants, fled on foot behind a nearby house.

As the officer approached on foot, he heard two gun shots from where the suspect had disappeared and held his position in order to wait for backup. Officers from Pacifica, South San Francisco and Daly City Police Departments responded and set up a perimeter.
