I think that the prohibition of cannabis is working every bit as well as the prohibition of alcohol did back when. The use of the stuff increases and organized crime makes all the money.

Why do people keep equating pot to alcohol? It is much closer to smoking cigarettes than drinking alcohol. I walked out of Linda Mar McDonald's the other day to the stench of marijuana (to me it stinks and when you smoke it you stink). I was with my 3 year old grand daughter and we both had to breathe in second hand smoke. Needless to say, I won't be going to that McDonald's again. When you smoke marijuana in public or at home, the baby, child, adult around is smoking it too. My grand daughter lives in an apartment with her parents, what happens when the tenant above smokes the crap? She has to breathe it in. What about the parent who come home from work and smoke it, is that child abuse? I personally will not tolerate having to breathe it in and really don't want to live where my right to clean air is not respected. Remember when cigarettes were advertised as good for your health? If not, get yourself educated, read some history.
