Pacifica Starstruck at Mavericks Movie Shoot
Gerard Butler, who plays Jay Moriarity's mentor in the forthcoming film, posed for photos with fans.
Dozens gathered at the south end of today to watch Hollywood stars .
Cast and crew of the forthcoming movie about Moriarity's triumph over the surf break at in Half Moon Bay could be easily seen during and between takes.
Gerard Butler, of 300 fame, who is playing Moriarity's mentor Rick Hesson, was the main draw: in between takes, fans called out his name, shouted "I love you" and asked him to come over for photos and autographs.

After filming was done for the say, Butler did just that. He posed for several group shots with fans and signed a girl's arm cast before leaving the beach.
Jonny Weston, who plays Jay himself, was also on the beach all day.

Cast and crew will be at tomorrow morning to shoot more scenes.
