Highway 1 Closed After Drunk Driver Crashes Into Guard Rail
One southbound lane was closed after a car collided with the guard rail.
One southbound lane of Highway 1 was closed at about 1a.m. for approximately 45 minutes this morning while police investigated a parked car facing the wrong direction on the shoulder.
It appeared that the 25-year-old driver, Claudia Interiano of Rodeo, CA, was under the influence of alcohol when the vehicle struck the guard rail and spun around on the highway south of Reina del Mar.
An officer found Interiano alone in the car with the engine still
running on the shoulder of the highway, Pacifica police Chief Jim Saunders
said.
She was arrested and booked into the county jail in Redwood City for driving under the influence.
No injuries were reported and it appears no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The lane was closed while police conducted their investigation.

This report does not say where on Hwy 1 the accident occurred. I saw an accident about 2:00 am Sunday morning (Saturday night) on Hwy 1 near Fassler when a northbound lane was closed, a vehicle had struck the guardrail, and a woman was arrested. Was this the same accident and incorrectly reported, or was there another accident on Hwy 1 at 1:00 am Monday morning? Where on Hwy 1 was this accident located?

Good point, Conrad. This incident occurred, according to police, south of Reina del Mar. It's the same incident. I'll add this now.
