Dan Littlefield Plays Tonight at A Grape in the Fog

Pacifica Debut is also a Fundraiser for Local Schools

Singer-songwriter Dan Littlefield makes his Pacifica debut tonight at 8:00pm at . The event is free, though Littlefield will be collecting donations for the Pacifica School District.

Dan Littlefield has been passionate about music since he first played a guitar at the age of 13.  He released his first solo album, The Hills We Knew, at the end of 2010. The album is comprised of 10 original songs, all written by Littlefield, and features him on guitar, dobro, upright and electric bass, harmonica and vocals.

The Hills We Knew marks Littlefield’s decision to pursue a solo career and follows his involvement with bands Snaphook, Corduroy Jim and Intrinsic.  According to Littlefield’s website, the album has a lot of meaning for him and is mainly a tribute to his father and two half brothers who have passed away.

Littlefield’s sound has been called  “acoustic folk rock,” and he has a soulful singing voice that conveys the many layers of emotion in his music. The songs on The Hills We Knew touch the heart and resonate with the listener in a way that stays with you.

As important as music is to Littlefield, the children he teaches mean even more to him. As a Special Education Teacher, he has seen first hand the negative effects caused by cuts in school funding. Therefore, while promoting his album, he’s decided to help local schools by collecting donations, including any tips he receives.
