Blue Blanket Improv Performs at The Wine Bar

Five years strong, the Blue Blanket Improv Comedy Group spreads laughter on the Coast.

For nearly two hours last Saturday night, the Blue Blanket Improv Comedy Group brought its brand of comedy improv to The Wine Bar located within the Shoppes at the Harbor in Princeton Harbor.

Audience members enjoyed a slice of pizza, a glass of wine and a night of laughter with improv comedy acts by Kenny Bourquin, Steve Ketchpel, Marc Samuels, Chris Johnson, and Roslyn Ramsey.

“This is the fifth show we've perform at The Wine Bar, and the audience really seems to be enjoying it," said Bourquin.

The show, which was divided into two parts with nearly 16 different scenes, some including members of the audience, featured acts by performers of all different ages, backgrounds, and years of experience. The performers worked really well together in the unrehearsed atomosphere.

“The best feeling is not knowing what is next,” said Marc Samuels, who's been doing improv for now 30 years. Samuels first started getting into improv in high school and then later continued on to teaching it.

Today Samuels is founder and member of Blue Blanket Improv, which has been performing for about five years now. Their main goal is not only to entertain people, but to also inspire people. This non-profit organization donates funds raised from their shows towards scholarships for people pursuing a higher education.
